Elphida Ayvazian-Tuminelli, DMD
Dr. Ayvazian received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2001. She completed a General Practice Residency followed by a two year Fellowship in Advanced Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry at North Shore University Hospital- Manhasset campus, where she received training in both surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry. She went on to complete a three- year Graduate Program in Prosthodontics at the Manhattan Veterans Administration, New York Harbor Healthcare System/ NYU College of Dentistry, where she was awarded a Certificate in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Ayvazian is committed to education, and is currently an Attending at the Graduate Prosthodontics Program at the Veterans Administration, New York Harbor Healthcare System, where she is directly involved in the clinical and didactic education of prosthodontic residents.
Dr. Ayvazian serves on the Board of Directors for the American College of Prosthodontists, as well as the Board of Directors for the New York Section of the American College of Prosthodontists. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Innovative Dentistry. Dr. Ayvazian lectures locally and nationally.
Dr. Ayvazians’ education, and passion for dentistry and prosthodontics, enables her to deliver the highest level of care in esthetic and rehabilitative dentistry. Her patient focused approach to dental treatment, involves utilizing the latest dental technologies available. Dr. Ayvazian, as well as the other professionals in our practice know that education is a life- long process. She is committed to utilizing the cutting edge and latest in dental and prosthodontics innovations by keeping abreast through continuing educational programs.
As a prosthodontist or restorative specialist, Dr. Ayvazian has an in-depth understanding of dental form and function and the physiology of the oral system. This gives her the ability to provide her patients with a holistic and functional approach to dentistry.
